Blog Hop at CI Paints and Genuinely Jane Studios

Before we get to the good stuff, let me give you a little info on each of these two awesome companies:

Genuinely Jane Studios manufactures small and medium size wood mini-albums for mixed media, scrapbooking and altered art in many shapes and sizes. All of the albums are hand made right on site in their Central Missouri facility. In addition to their albums, they also carry other art supplies in their online store.

Creative Inspirations Paint, our other company in this team up manufactures non-toxic, water based, translucent, shimmery paint that can be used for scrapbooking, card making, mixed media, altered art and more. They also carry embossing powders, glitter and UV resin. Using the paints is as simple as "Shake, Open and Play!" The paints are some of the most vivid you will find on the market and made in Washington State.

All of the designers from both teams have joined together to show you what can be created using the albums and paint! Be sure to check both the Genuinely Jane Studios and Creative Inspirations Paint websites to see all of the wonderful products! 

For my project I've used the Square with Heart Cut-out wooden book, found here.   At first I had painted it with yellow acrylic paint, but it was too bright so I then painted it with CI Paints Rose Quartz which gave it the lovely peachy color you see here.  Each "front page" has been stamped with a different background stamp while each "back page" has had a couple of layers of contrasting papers applied.  From there I started building my pages.  CI Paints and products are used extensively throughout, and ribbon snippets were used to cover the metal ring holding the pages together..

Base layer painted w/CI Paints then heat embossed with my own blend of embossing powder and Resplendence Angel Dust.  Shrink plastic heart charm coated with Resinesence.

Let the journey begin.

Resinesence coats the decoupaged and stamped sentiment tag.

Angel Dust adorns the rose. Blue swirl painted with CI Paints.

Vintage hand-crocheted lace trim, custom charm.

I used Frantage on some of the flowers and the arrow pointing to the sentiment.

Many different floral techniques are used in this album.

The objective of this little album was to have a sentiment on each page, which I achieve with one exception, that being the little bird in the birdcage looking up at the cameo.  The look between them speaks enough.

Flowers airbrushed with Copics, painted with CI Paints, painted with alcohol and Copics. And a gemstone flower to boot.

True love.

Resinesense used on the bezel.  Angel Dust sprinkled on the image before applying resin.

Lots of layers here and sparkly goodness.

Angel Dust is applied to the lace doily.

CI Paints used on every page.

The little tag was left blank so that a personalized sentiment could be added.

This is a bead cap holding a pearl.  The flower is airbrushed with Copics.
