IBS New Release - Chalkboard Birthday

Hello!

Today is Day Three of our showcased projects featuring the stamp sets celebrating the 2nd birthday of Inspired By Stamping, and our featured stamp set is Chalkboard Birthday.  I don't know about you but I LOVE the chalkboard technique, and this set lends itself perfectly to it.

Actually, the main frame image comes from the set A Lovely Birthday which will be showcased tomorrow (more mixing and matching!), but the rest of the elements come from today's featured set, and there are a LOT of elements in this set - 28, to be exact.  28 ways to maximize the impact on your paper projects.  (You've seen some of the other elements in the cards featured earlier in the release).

One of the things I love about this set is that there are a number of sentiments you can make with it.  This one is comprised of three stamps, not just one, increasing the versatility quotient exponentially.  Huh?  OK, you can make a lot of custom sentiments with this set.  And they fit PERFECTLY inside the frame.

I heat embossed everything with white embossing powder and rubbed a bit of white pigment ink onto the cardstock for that famous chalkboard effect.  This is the kind of card that, for me, goes together in a flash but still looks good.  I especially love this because I'm normally the biggest slowpoke when it comes to making cards, so if I can make one in under three hours, I consider it a big deal.  (Yes, it usually takes me at least 3 hours to make an average card.  I told you I'm slow.)

I got a little carried away on the inside as well as the outside with these cute stamps.  See what I mean about customizing the sentiments?  There are four stamps used here, plus the arrows.
