Dogwoods are Blooming - Digi Darla Challenge #55

Hello!

It's time for another challenge over at Digi Darla's Challenges, and this week's theme is Challenge #55 - FlowersOne winner will receive 5 Digi Darla images, and any entries using a DD image get entered into a SECOND drawing for 3 images, so you could conceivably win 8, yes, eight Digi Darla images!

If you use a Digi Darla image, make sure after you link up to add DD with your name so we won't miss you!

My card today is a simple one which uses the Large Dogwood Blossom stamp from Digi Darla that you can find here and which I've colored with Copics.

I've used a fan-shaped letterpress on the base layer for a bit of added depth.

I've wrapped the larger layer with several rounds of linen twine then attached a vintage button and ladybug charm to the bow.

A few more vintage buttons and a sentiment complete this card.

Thank you for joining me today, and I wish you a lovely Thursday.

Happy crafting!

Such a gorgeous card Shea. As always, your colouring is incredible. The string, the charms, the buttons, all so awesome. Hey, I've thought of a couple tutorials you could write for us. First one is what do you use or create to mail all your cards in? For the most part, they are all quite raised and obviously can't be mailed in the traditional way. Second idea for a tutorial. How on earth do you get the grounding around the flowers so smooth? I've read about the flicking method and using the colourless blender to achieve the look but I'm obviously doing something wrong. It doesn't help that I can't get a hold of any 000 or 0000 with the majority of my markers but that shouldn't affect the outcome other than being darker. Just some food for thought. You'd be an awesome tutor!

Hugs,
Lisa
