IBS New Release - Hexagons

This is today's second post.  For my Friendship Feather card, please go here (Or scroll down.)

Hello!

It's time for the final sneak peek of the new Inspired By Stamping July stamp sets, and today we're showcasing Hexagons (available in the store July 10, which is tomorrow)!

This was a fun card to make as I wanted to try a new background technique called "ghosting."  I sprayed watercolor paper with water and then some spray inks, let them puddle and blend, then blotted the excess moisture with a roll of paper towels.  Then I stamped with one of the stamps from the new set using water as the "ink," let it sit for a bit, then blotted with paper towels again.  Voila, a ghostly image of the hexagons.  The rest of the stamping was done with archival ink.

I love the various designs of the individual hexagon stamps...

...and the open hexagon stamps (including a border) are super useful.

The sentiment was made using the IBS set Daisies, available here. Some black satin ribbon, black rhinestones and a brass button complete the card.

Thank you so much for joining me today, and don't forget to check back tomorrow for the full release of all of these wonderful stamp sets!  In the meantime, be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team to see how they've used this set too!

Happy crafting!
