IBS New Release - Masculine Tags II

Hello!

Welcome to the final day of our August preview of masculine stamp sets, though of course they don't have to be limited to just the guys.  We are showcasing today the Inspired By Stamping set "Masculine Tags II," which will be released tomorrow, August 10.  At last!

If you're wondering about the slightly unorthodox color scheme, I had visions of Blackwatch Plaid roaming around in my noggin.  Don't ask me why.  Maybe it was the plaid stamps I've been using for the past couple of days from the "Basic Backgrounds IV" set (also being released tomorrow), or maybe it's because plaid skirts have always been a wardrobe staple, especially Blackwatch (which sometimes has a smidge of red, sometimes doesn't).  At any rate, that's the reason for colors I don't normally put together.

The base layer is two panels of paper, one green and stamped with "Background Basics Lines" (available tomorrow) and the other dry embossed and dry brushed with white pigment ink to bring out the pattern.  Actually I also embossed the striped layer with a striped embossing folder, but it doesn't really show up very well.

The image panel has been heat embossed with white embossing powder and cut with the IBS Fancy Labels 2 Die.  The tiny sentiment is also from this same stamp set and has been heat embossed in white as well.

A leather button and some twine finish the front of this simple but colorful card.

I used a couple of stamps from the "Background Basics Lines" set (available tomorrow), plus a sentiment from the ever so useful "Happy Occasions Sentiments." That set is clearly becoming a favorite as I've used it every day during this release!

IBS New Release - Guitars and Background Basics Lines

Hello!

Today I am sharing a card I made using two of the newest stamp sets from Inspired By Stamping.  This set along with the others will be available August 10!

I stamped the base layer with one of the stamps from "Background Basics Lines."  Just WAIT until you see this set - the versatility is endless!  The splats are from the new set "Guitars," as are the guitar and pick.  The sentiment is shadow stamped using last month's release "Happy Sentiments."

I heat embossed both guitar and pick, using glittery red embossing powder for the pick, and I cut them both on my Silhouette Cameo using Joanna's very generous FREE cut files which she includes with many of her stamp sets.  No need to fussy cut!

I finished the inside with a couple more splats (stamped off once) and a sentiment from the recent release "Happy Occasions Sentiments."

Today is Day Two of the Inspired By Stamping August sneak peeks!  Today we are peeking at the following sets:

Guitars

Set of six stamps including guitars, guitar picks and some interesting ink effects (like the "splat" in the peek below). 

Background Basics Lines

Set of 6 lines of varying widths and numbers.  These are super long stamps measuring 5.625 which extend to each long end of an A2 layer and they're a blast to mix up.  Think PLAIDS!
