IBS New Release - French Country

Hello!

Oh WOW, today is the day the designers at Inspired By Stamping showcase the fabulous and oh so versatile stamp set, French Country, a wonderful set that includes corners, a border strip, silhouettes and this wonderful sunflower image, plus a frame which coordinates with the Fancy Labels I die set.  I absolutely love, love, LOVE this stamp set for it's elegant French Country flair.  Ooo la la!!!

Is that not just the most gorgeous in-your-face sunflower ever??  I knew immediately I wanted to color it with alcohol markers.  It's easy to get that blended look as there is lots of room on the petals and leaves.  I applied a deep, yellow-gold glitter around the green center for some added sparkle.

Here's a closer look.  Now check out the "designer" paper to the left.  I looked and looked for some paper in my extensive stash but couldn't find any, so I made my own on white paper by swiping black and dark red ink pads over it until I was satisfied, then I dabbed deep yellow distress ink on top.  Instant and perfectly coordinated dp!

The bottom strip was stamped with the border strip from the set.  Perfect.  I used IBS Satin Ribbon in Scarlet for the bow.

I didn't feel there was room on top for a sentiment, so I put it inside instead.  This sentiment is from yesterday's showcase, "Big Notes in French II" .  I love the IBS Big Notes series - they say a lot with so little effort.

The rooster is from French Country, and there's that harlequin border stamp again.  SO useful.
