Meowzah!

Hello!

I have to say I enjoyed making a card with this stamp set so much a couple of days ago that I just had to make another.  There is a challenge over at Tuesday Alchemy , Challenge #37, that centers around three random words - bath, duct tape and sparrow.  It was crystal clear which stamp set I should use, don't you think?  (Pity "duct" couldn't be "duck" tape.  I was tempted...) Go pay them a visit and join in the fun!

So here is my card.

Everything but the image is different from my last card as I never make two of the same thing.  EVER.  The paper and layout are different, as are the inks and coloring methods used.  This time I've used this week's Sweet 'N'Sassy Stamps sketch
and the SCS Tuesday color challenge of using Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink, and Primrose Pink.  All challenges will be listed and linked below.

The papers used are SU Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Primrose Petals and a wonderful pad of MME Lost & Found - Madison Avenue, the most delicious French-inspired soft pinks and browns you can imagine.  I embossed the bottom layer with a CB ef ("Swirls," I think - there's no name on it) and daubed SU Shimmer Paint on top.   Guess what?  You know that if you adhere CS to CS and then pull it off because you realized you should have embossed it first, then pounce Embossing Buddy on the back to remove the stickiness of the adhesive, then run it through an ef, that it'll still stick, right?  Well-l-l....live and learn.  And no one is the wiser.  However, once you've attached all the layers and then discover that you've forgotten to cut off the edge that didn't get embossed and instead placed it right smack dab at the top for the whole world to see, you KNOW there's no fixing that, right?  But I digress.

The image is Bubble Therapy from The Cat's Pajamas, stamped on Very Vanilla with Memento Tuxedo Black, and I've colored her this time with Copics.  Well, the bathtub and main bubbles.  The duck is paper pieced from yellow scrap and the individual bubbles are filled in with Aleene's Paper Glaze for shine and dimension.  After coloring the tub and main bubbles, I painted them with Creative Inspirations paints.  There's almost nothing that those paints can't improve.  Kitty's eyes are green Gelly Roll sparkle pen and her bow was colored with Copics with a rhinestone attached to the middle.  Her sparkly necklace is Dazzling Diamonds adhered with the Paper Glaze.  She is a lady after all, and ladies dress for their baths.  I guess.  Meowzah!!

Well that's it for today.  The temperature outside is quickly falling, so far 15 degrees in the past hour with another 15 to go, and I'm thrilled half to death because I am ready for AUTUMN.

Thank you for joining me and have a lovely afternoon and evening doing whatever relaxing thing you can come up with.  Dahling.

Happy Crafting!!
