Today the Design Team at Inspired By Stamping is showcasing the new stamp set "Masculine Tags" which will be released on August 10. Woohoo!
Let it not be said that masculine cards always have to be simple or few-layered. I was in the mood to put more "stuff" on this one. Heh. I began by cutting out the hexagon layer on my Silhouette Cameo using Joanna's nifty cut file that she has offered FREE with the "Hexagons" stamp set. The stamps in that set are pretty nifty too.
Here's a closer look at the hexagon cut piece. The little punch outs are useful too, though I've saved them for another day, another card.
A dry embossed layer in my favorite color red tops that, and then I used a band of sticky back canvas stamped with "Basic Backgrounds IV," which we showcased a couple of days ago (also available on the 10th).
The sentiment panel is cut with the IBS Fancy Labels 2 die, with the sentiment layer heat embossed in green around the edges.
I stamped the inside with "Basic Backgrounds IV" and also a sentiment from the recently released "Happy Occasions Sentiments."
Some brads, real and faux, and a piece of rope twine (recycled from IBS packaging) finish this card.
Thank you so much for joining me today, and I urge you to go visit the rest of the Design Team to see what they have prepared for you using these wonderful stamp sets!
