Tuesday Alchemy - Anything Goes!

Hello and good frosty morning!

It's cold here AT LAST.  Started out at 36 this morning, though it'll warm up to the low 60's by the end of the day, but at least I have an excuse to wear socks and sweaters again!  Hooray!

Today is the new weekly challenge over at Tuesday Alchemy, and the challenge this week is Anything Goes!  Woohoo!!  Of course there are prizes.  They are:

5 Digital Images

Scrapper's Delights
6 Single Digis
So what are you waiting for?  The sky's the limit, so get crack a lackin' and start crafting!

I did make a card today because I wanted to use one of RF's images, that luscious bow.  I have a thing about ribbon and bows, and I try to use them as often as possible on my cards.  It was a dream to color.  I started out with Basic Black CS and then stamped three pieces of Whisper White with a script stamp from Michael's, Flourishes black lace background stamp, and Hero Arts music stamp.  The sentiment came from Flourishes Petals and Peace set.  (All edges of white CS were inked during the making of this card.)  I also inked up the retired SU Medallion stamp with Shimmer Paint and partial-stamped it onto the black base for a bit of added interest and glimmer. Except for the sentiment, all layers were double-layered  with red CS.

The image was colored with Copics, and the berries are topped with red Stickles.

My "anything" for this card is the jeweled stick pin that I've put through the back of the rose.  The rose itself is a rolled rose made with Dienamics Mini Rolled Roses die, and the pine branches are from a MS punch.  The stickpin is a small one, only 2" long, made from a pearl-tipped dressmaker's pin with various beads and pearls added.  This is my newest obsession - these stick pins.  I've made a few longer ones, 3", and I've just ordered some blanks that are 5" long. That's 5 whole inches of beading heaven.  My cards might be top heavy when I use such pins, but oh well, it'll be worth it.  So stay tuned to this blog because you will be seeing lots more of these to come!

Thank you for joining me today, and don't forget to head on over to Tuesday Alchemy and play along for the chance to win some nice prizes and pick up a TA badge.

Happy crafting!!
